Abstract

[eng] Work sectors: the evolution of labor force structures - At the time of the 1975 census, the effects of the economic break following the first oil shock on labor force structures was just beginning to be felt. The 1982 census offers the material to evaluate these effects seven years later. Total employment grew 50 % less rapidly than in the course of the seven preceding years, with a 10 % decline in industry where the jobs of unskilled workers were the most affected. The share of wage-earners has continued to increase, but at a slowed rhythm. The presence of women has become marked in the tertiary sector and has slightly decreased in industry. Finally, the number of wage-earners between the ages of 16 and 15 has declined by almost 20 %, while the number on the job marked has remained stable.
