Una versión didáctica del teorema de imposibilidad de Arrow

Abstract

En Economia y en Ciencia Política se ha dedicado un gran esfuerzo a la investigación de un viejo problema: el diseño de buenos procedimientos.de elección social’. En Ciencia Política, se enfoca este problema desde un punto de vista de teoría de democracia,y se postula que no debiera escogerse una opción cuando la otra fuese tenida por superior por la mayoría de electores. Sin embargo, tal enfoque se ve en serias dificultades ante la clásica paradoja del voto: sean tres electores de los cuales el primero clasifica las opciones A, B $ C, en orden decreciente según sus preferencias, como ABC; el segundo. similarmente, como BCA; y el tercero, como CAB. Entonces, B pierde ante A por 1 a 2. C pierde ante B, y A ante C por el mismo puntaje.
