Abstract

Cada vez adquiere mayor importancia la gestión de las relaciones con los grupos de interés. La inclusión activa de los grupos de interés da legitimidad a la empresa, generando credibilidad y confianza. Las empresas que buscan la sostenibilidad en sus actividades deben conocer a los grupos de interés, potenciar el diálogo, satisfacer demandas y expectativas, y ser transparentes en la rendición de cuentas de sus acciones. La empresa sostenible desencadena procesos de mejora continua e innovación y busca “aceptación social” para conseguir éxito en sus actividades. En este contexto, trataremos de plantear en este artículo los principales desafíos a los que se enfrentan las empresas en la búsqueda de la sostenibilidad empresarial a través de una gestión eficaz de sus grupos de interés. Además, proponemos la utilización de herramientas flexibles que los auxilien en la toma de decisiones y que ayuden a mejorar la gestión con los grupos de interés. The management of stakeholders is becoming increasingly important to the corporate sustainability. The engagement of stakeholders gives legitimacy to the company, generating trust and credibility. The enterprises that are seeking sustainability in their activities must know stakeholders, promote dialogue, meet the demands and expectations, and be transparent in the accountability for their actions. The sustainable company triggers continuous improvement and innovation and seeks for “social acceptance” to achieve success in their activities. In this context, our focus is on thinking about the main challenges faced by companies pursueing sustainable development through effective management of their stakeholders. We further propose the use of flexible tools that aid employers in decision making and help them improve the stakeholder management.
