The Analysis of Human Resources Management Particularities in Tourism

Abstract

The human resources management in the tourism companies is part of the marketing mix and has a series of particularities that distinguish it from the same activities of the goods production sectors. The article proposes to emphasize, theo-retically, the human resources management particularities in tourism, and from the prac-tical point of view, the results of a research are presented, achieved during the March-April 2012 period, in seven representative tourism companies from Iaºi municipality. The questionnaire used in this research aims at emphasizing the manner in which the managers take into account these specifici-ties in recruiting and selecting the employ-ees, motivating and training them for obtain-ing performance and coagulating the work teams, around the values promoted through the organizational culture of the analysed companies.
