Abstract

Today manufacturing companies find themselves in an environment of different disturbances. Due to the globalization of markets and comprehensive information technologies, production has to be able to adapt according to changing business strategies. The production controlling provides the information for an approach with adaptive production processes guaranteeing a balance between financial and performance-oriented objectives. Beside the pure control function, controlling also includes the analysis of differences and their causes. Processes have to be monitored and assessed with regard to the position in the supply chain. The present work aims to develop a method that can be used in designing and planning of production process chains and allows to measure running processes against reference values. In addition to the analysis, the system warns the user against large deviation limited by upper and lower values. So that enough time remains for reaction, the user gets suitable measures for control suggested. The core processes of the supply chain are represented by description models and used to describe the objectives, such as inventory, lead times and costs.
