Soziale Ungleichheit und Risiken der Erwerbsminderung

Abstract

Der gesundheitliche Status hängt eng mit der sozialen Lage zusammen. Dies spiegelt sich auch in der Nutzung entsprechender Sozialleistungen. Mit prozessproduzierten Daten des Forschungsdatenzentrums der Rentenversicherung (FDZ-RV) werden soziale Unterschiede beim Zugang in die Erwerbsminderungsrente (EM) untersucht. Sie werden in erster Linie an der beruflichen Qualifikation festgemacht. Darüber hinaus werden Unterschiede zwischen Männern und Frauen sowie zwischen Versicherten in Ost- und Westdeutschland betrachtet. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Versicherte mit niedriger beruflicher Qualifikation weitaus häufiger als diejenigen mit mittlerer und vor allem diejenigen mit hoher Qualifikation eine EM-Rente beziehen. Am deutlichsten treten diese Unterschiede bei Rentenzugängen aufgrund von Muskel-Skelett-Erkrankungen hervor, aber auch bei Rentenzugängen aufgrund von Herz-Kreislauf- und psychischen Erkrankungen zeichnen sie sich deutlich ab. Versicherte in Ostdeutschland haben ein höheres Risiko als diejenigen in Westdeutschland, wobei die Ost-West-Unterschiede bei den Geringqualifizierten am größten ausfallen und mit steigendem Qualifikationsniveau abnehmen.
