Historiens militants ou historiens de bureau ? Les producteurs du récit historique officiel à l’Institut de la mémoire nationale

Abstract

L’approche sociologique permet d’analyser les propriétés sociopolitiques des historiens de l’Institut de la mémoire nationale (IPN) en Pologne, ainsi que les logiques de l’écriture du récit historique au sein de l’Institut. L’étude révèle que le cadre institutionnel et ses contraintes limitent considérablement l’autonomie scientifique des chercheurs, dans la mesure où la direction de l’IPN détermine le plan de recherche. Si l’élection de la direction constitue un moment clé de dépendance politique, cette étude invite à reconsidérer le rôle des historiens en tant que producteurs du récit historique officiel.
