Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the complete systems of demand equations i.e. models of complex demand analysis as a contemporary approach to estimation of demand equations. Linear Expenditure System, Rotterdam model, flexible functional forms have been analyzed in a critical manner. The paper also stresses open questions and problems in the application of these models.
