Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between fiscal and monetary policies, considering different cases: government budget constraint and the wealth effect, determining the corresponding multipliers. The value of these multipliers will denote the effectiveness of fiscal policy. The article also outlines problems that affect fiscal policy effectiveness and provides brief introduction to the articles included in the special issue.
