Abstract

In his report on government work delivered at the fourth session of the Fifth National People's Congress, Premier Zhao Ziyang touched on the major tasks of the sixth five-year plan, 1981-85. He demanded that the national income grow at the same rate as thevalue of our gross industrial and agricultural production, At China's current economic performance, this demand should not be taken lightly. It is so important to our economy that we must strive to meet the demand.
