Abstract

The brilliant leader Chairman Hua and the Party Central Committee have decided to convene a National Science Conference in the spring of next year in order to mobilize the whole Party, the whole armed forces, various nationalities of the country and all the science and technology workers to march toward the modernization of science and technology. This is another important task in carrying out the strategic decision of running the country by grasping the key link. It reflects the common aspiration of hundreds of millions of people and also the aspiration of all the commanders and fighters and the broad science and technology workers. We are anxiously looking forward to this important development in the history of China's science development, and we will welcome the convening of this National Science Conference with concrete action and outstanding achievements in developing national defense science and technology.
