Abstract

Despite its obvious importance, the patrimony did not have a legal definition under the influence of The Civil Code of 1864. The 2011 Civil Code aims to limit controversies in this matter, including the first legal definition of patrimony and covering the possibility of creating patrimonies of affectation and the patrimonial transfer.
