Abstract

Being an important branch of the new educational system, Environmental Education must be looked upon through other methods than the classical ones, namely through creative and interactive ways, through play and practical activities within nature and by openly engaging the children into activities that concern with environmental protection. From this premise, we have developed a program concerning the development of an ecological behavior to primary school students, using a complex creativity strategy. In order to illustrate the evolution of environmental performance to primary school pupils, we conducted a comparative analysis between the initial behavior and the behavior we got after applying our proposed program. The comparative chart clearly showed the results of our program which managed to transform the acquired knowledge, values and skills into solid actions of environmental protection, actions which must become, in time, efficient and permanent environmental behaviours.
