Abstract

The article intends to provide a global vision of the broad and heterogeneous field of intangible capital and its different components and approaches. Some basic concepts are examined, such as those of intellectual, human or technological capital from a business and macroeconomic perspective. Finally, some key issues are presented having to do with knowledge management and with the role of intangible capital on economic growth. El artículo trata de proporcionar una visión de conjunto del amplio y heterogéneo campo del capital intangible y sus diferentes componentes y enfoques. Se revisan conceptos básicos tales como capital intelectual, humano o tecnológico desde una perspectiva tanto empresarial como macroeconómica. Por último se plantean algunas cuestiones clave en la gestión del conocimiento y en el papel del capital intangible en el desarrollo económico
