Abstract

En este trabajo se analiza la situación de las publicaciones científi cas en Economía y Empresa en España entre 1994-2004. Se analiza en qué revistas publican los autores afi liados a universidades españolas, la calidad de las revistas en las que se publica y su evolución a lo largo de la década. A lo largo del artículo se presta una especial atención al análisis de dichas publicaciones científi cas por áreas de conocimiento: cuáles son las más productivas y cómo se distribuyen los artículos publicados, por áreas de conocimiento y entre las distintas universidades españolas. Los resultados muestran una estabilidad en cuanto al crecimiento de los artículos publicados, según distintos niveles de calidad, así como una concentración de los mismos en determinadas áreas de conocimiento (Fundamentos del Análisis Económico y Economía Aplicada, especialmente). Se observan ciertas especializaciones de algunas universidades en algunas áreas de conocimiento. Por último, se explicitan aquellas revistas en las que los autores españoles suelen publicar más asiduamente. In this paper we analyse the status of scientific publications in Economics and Business in Spain (1994-2004). We focus our research in showing the preferred journals of the authors affi liated to Spanish universities, the quality of these journals and also the evolution along the decade. Throughout the paper we study deeply the areas of knowledge: which are more productive and also how the articles are distributed among Universities considering the areas of knowledge. The results show an important stability concerning the growth of published articles considering different levels of quality of journals. A second result is the important concentration in a few areas of knowledge: Fundamentals of Economic Analysis and Applied Economics. We observe a degree of specialization of several universities.
