Tinjauan Triwulan Perekonomian Indonesia

Abstract

Perkembangan dunia dalam triwulan III tampaknya berbeda dengan kecenderungan yang terjadi dalam dua triwulan sebelumnya. Jika dalam dua tinjauan sebelumnya, terdapat gambaran optimisme terhadap recovery perekonomian dunia yang diperkirakan akan terjadi dalam tahun 1993, maka gambaran ini telah berubah sama sekali. Berbagai konsultan ekonomi dunia seperti Concensus atau Morgan Guaranty Trust telah melakukan revisi ke bawah terhadap perkiraan ekonomi dunia untuk jangka pendek dan jangka menengah. Penyebab kegagalan recovery ekonomi dunia ini adalah timbulnya suatu ketidakpastian dalam kestabilan perekonomian Eropa akibat kegagalan Inggeris untuk mempertahankan nilai tukar Poundsterling agar tetap berada dalam ERM {Exchange Rate Mechanism).
