A banki közvetítés mélysége
[The depth of bank mediation]

Abstract

A szerző a magyar, a cseh és a lengyel banki közvetítés mélységét elemzi az elmúlt évtized adatai alapján, valamint saját és nemzetközi tapasztalatokból következtetéseket szűr le a magyar banki közvetítés mélységének rövid és középtávú alakulására. A téma alaposabb vizsgálatára azért van szükség, mert a közép-kelet-európai országok pénzügyi közvetítésének mélysége jelentősen elmarad az EU-országokra jellemzőtől. A banki közvetítés mélységét elsősorban a stabil makrogazdasági környezet, valamint az alacsony inflációs és kamatszint segítheti elő, azonban a banki közvetítés gyors és nem megfelelően felügyelt mélyülése makrogazdasági és pénzügyi stabilitási kockázatokat is felvet, többek között ezért is lesz az elkövetkezendő években kiemelt fontossága a pénzügyi rendszer stabilitását veszélyeztető kockázatok feltárásának.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: G21, E44.
