Abstract

Ez az írás az EU-bővülés folyamatának csak az egyik felét, a közép-európai jelöltek felkészültségét vizsgálja. Áttekinti a felvétellel szembeni közkeletű ellenérveket, majd az 1993-ban közzétett koppenhágai érettségi kritériumok teljesülését. A cikk második fele azokkal az ellentmondásokkal foglalkozik, amelyek miatt a valódi EU-szintre teljes értékűen csak a tagfelvételt követően lehet majd beérni. A taggá válás évtizedes folyamatát a neoinstitucionalista elmélet keretében értelmezve új kulcskérdések adódnak a rendszerváltozás élenjáróinak gazdasági stratégiája számára.
