A külföldi bankok szerepe a közép-európai átmeneti gazdaságokban I
[Role of foreign banks in the Central European economies in transition]

Abstract

A szerző érdeklődésének középpontjában a külföldi bankok közép-európai tevékeny- sége áll. A nemzetközi és külföldi bankügyletek különösen fontosak az átmeneti gaz- daságokban. Egyrészt azért, mert a multinacionális vállalatok tevékenysége és a már meglévő nagyvállalatok nemzetközi ügyletei minden bizonnyal a növekedés mozga- tórugói lesznek. Másrészt, az átmeneti országok bankszektorának a jövőben meg kell birkóznia az örökölt technológiai hatékonytalansággal. Mivel gyakran merülnek fel újabb és újabb érvek a külföldi bankok belépése mellett és ellen, a tanulmány minden olyan lehetséges érvet áttekint és elemez, amely a külföldi bankok belépésé- nek korlátozása mellett szól. Ezt követően a szerző az ellenkező oldalról is szemügy- re veszi a külföldi bankokat, azaz megvizsgálja, hogy részvételüknek milyen várható hozamai vannak az átmeneti gazdaságokban. A tanulmány következő számunkban megjelenő második része a külföldi ban- koknak a vizsgált országokban folytatott tevékenységét mutatja be.
