Kalkınma Düzeyleri Açısından Ülkelerin Doğrudan Yabancı Yatırım Performanslarının Yakınsama Analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, ülkelerin/ekonomilerin kalkınma aşamaları açısından sınıflandırmasına göre, doğrudan yabancı yatırım performansının yakınsama davranışları incelenmektedir. Ülkelerin/ekonomilerin kalkınma aşamaları sınıflandırması için Küresel Rekabetçilik Raporu 2012-2013 temel alınmıştır. Söz konusu raporda ülke/ekonomiler kalkınma aşamalarına göre temel olarak üç gruba ayrıştırılmıştır. Bu gruplar; faktör yönlü (factor-driven) ekonomiler, etkinlik yönlü (efficiency-driven) ekonomiler ve inovasyon yönlü (innovation-driven) ekonomiler olarak sınıflandırılmıştır. Ayrıca birinci aşamadan ikinci aşamaya geçiş sürecindeki ekonomiler ile ikinci aşamadan üçüncü aşamaya geçiş sürecindeki ekonomiler olmak üzere iki ilave sınıflandırmanın eklenmesiyle ülke/ekonomi sınıflandırması beş gruba çıkmıştır. Analizde bu sınıflandırmaya dayalı ülkelerin doğrudan yabancı yatırım performansları hesaplanmış ve 1970-2012 periyodu için grup içi ve gruplar arası yakınsama ilişkileri, Asimetrik Yumuşak Geçişli Otoregresif (Asymmetric Exponential Smooth Transition Auto-Regressive) (AESTAR) birim kök testi ile incelenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular ülkelerin çoğunun grup ortalamasına ve grup ortalamalarının da birbirine doğru anlamlı bir yakınsama davranışı sergilediğini göstermektedir.
