ÇAYKUR’a bağlı fabrikaların etkinlik analizi: Malmquist-TFV endeksi uygulaması

Abstract

Bu çalışmada bir kamu kuruluşu olan Çay İşletmeleri Genel Müdürlüğü’ne bağlı 44 çay fabrikasının 2003-2008 dönemi için etkinlik analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Belirlenen dönem için her bir fabrikanın Toplam Faktör Verimliliği ile Toplam Faktör Verimliliği bileşenlerindeki değişim, Malmquist-Toplam Faktör Verimliliği endeksi yöntemi kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, ilgili dönemde fabrikaların toplam faktör verimliliğinin arttığını ve bu artışın genelde teknolojik ilerlemeden kaynaklandığını ortaya koymuştur. Ayrıca, etkin olmayan fabrikaların büyük bir çoğunluğunda bunun kaynağının teknik etkinsizlik olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Dolayısıyla, fabrikaların teknolojik olarak ilerleme kaydetmesine rağmen bu gelişimi teknik etkinlik ile destekleyemedikleri tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, çalışma sonuçlarının genelde fabrikaların mevcut durumuyla uyumlu olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
