Küreselleşmenin gelişmekte olan ülkelerde gelir dağılımı üzerindeki etkileri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, küreselleşmenin gelişmekte olan ülkelerin 2000’li yıllardaki gelir eşitsizlikleri üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Gelişmekte olan 54 ülkeyi kapsayan yatay kesit analizi sonuçları, küreselleşmenin gelir eşitsizliklerini arttırmakta olduğunu göstermiştir. Gelişmekte olan ülkelerin artan doğrudan yabancı sermaye yatırımları ile birlikte gelir eşitsizlikleri de artmaktadır. Aynı zamanda gelişmekte olan ülkelerde gelir eşitsizlikleri dışa açıklık oranlarındaki artışla birlikte azalmaktadır. Analiz sonuçları gelişmekte olan ülkeler arasında kişi başına gelir düzeyi yüksek ülkelerin artan gelir eşitsizlikleri yaşadıklarını göstermiştir. Bununla birlikte Kuznets’in ters-U hipotezini destekleyen ilişkinin zayıf olduğu saptanmıştır. Çalışmada, küresel ekonomiyle bütünleşmekte olan gelişmekte olan ülkelerde gelirin yeniden dağılımı politikalarının önemini koruduğu belirtilmiştir.
