Finansal Gelişme Ve Rekabet Gücü: Ege Bölgesi İçin Karşılaştırmalı Bir Analiz

Abstract

1980 sonrası bazı gelişmekte olan ülkeler büyümelerini hızlandırmak için finansal serbestleşmeyi kalkınma politikası olarak benimsemişlerdir. Çalışmada ülkeler arası gelişmişlik farklarını ortadan kaldırmak için başvurulan bir araç olan finansal serbestleşme kavramı finansal gelişme kavramına dönüştürülerek, bölgeler arası dengesizliği açıklamak için kullanılmıştır. Makaledeki temel amaç ülke içindeki bölgelerin rekabet güçlerinin finansal gelişmişlik derecesine paralel olup olmadığını göstermektir. Bölgelerarası rekabet gücü bölgelerin göreceli fiyat yapısı ile tanımlanabilir. Bu durum iç ticaret hadlerindeki mantık ile aynıdır. Bölgesel verimlilik ve finansal gelişme arasında pozitif yönlü bir ilişki var ise bu bölgenin diğer bölgelere göre tanımlanan iç ticaret haddi veya göreceli gelir artışı daha hızlı olacaktır. Bu hipotez makalede Ege bölgesi rekabet gücü ile diğer bölgelerin rekabet güçleri finansal gelişmişlik açısından test edilmiştir. Test sonucunda Ege bölgesinin Marmara, Karadeniz ve İç Anadolu bölgeleri ile rekabet gücü ile finansal gelişmişlik açısından istatistiki açıdan anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamazken Güney ve Doğu Anadolu bölgeleri için rekabet gücü ile finansal gelişmişlik açısından anlamlı bir ilişkinin olduğu saptanmıştır.
