Türkiye Tekstil Endüstrisi Ver Rekabet Gücü:Ab Ülkeleriyle Karşılaştırmalı Bir Analiz Örneği,1989-2001

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Balassa tarafından geliştirilmiş olan açıklanmış karşılaştırmalı üstünlükler yaklaşımı esas alınarak, Türkiye tekstil endüstrisinin AB ülkeleriyle dinamik karşılaştırmalı üstünlüklerinin bir kıyaslaması yapılmıştır. Analizler sonucu hem SITC iki haneli hem de SITC üç haneli ürün grupları açısından Türkiye tekstil endüstrisinin rekabet gücünün oldukça yüksek ve alt sektörler bağlamında dünya ölçeğinde rekabetçi bir yapıya sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Fakat, özellikle son yıllarda hemen hemen bütün ürün gruplarının rekabet gücünde dikkate değer düşüşler olduğu görülmüştür. Türkiye tekstil endüstrisinin AB piyasasında halihazırdaki rekabet avantajını kaybetmemesi için, ürün farklılaştırması temelinde katma değeri yüksek, moda ve markaya dayalı ürünler geliştirmesi ve pazar çeşitlendirmesine gitmesi gerekmektedir.
