Cultural conditions of sustainable development of organisations

Abstract

The introduction of sustainability practices into an organisation depends on a number of external and internal factors. Several studies identify factors that are most important in the process of their adaptation: environmental regulation, workers' knowledge and attitudes and top management support. Like all changes, sustainable development also requires new organisational culture. Several questions arise in this context: 1) is there one model of sustainability-oriented culture; 2) what are the relationships between cultural values and sustainable development of an organisation? To provide answers to these questions, we diagnose organisational culture and the level of sustainable development of organisations. On the basis of this, we try to find out and analyse the relationships between them.
