Abstract

La gestión adecuada de los trabajadores repatriados es fundamental para la empresa internacional. Sin embargo, la repatriación ha sido uno de los aspectos de la gestión internacional de recursos humanos menos investigados. De la misma forma, en el mundo empresarial se ha ignorado su importancia, observándose grandes deficiencias en su gestión que pueden estar dando lugar a la pérdida de trabajadores muy cualificados y a costes innecesarios en las organizaciones. Por ello, en este trabajo, tras analizar con profundidad la literatura teórica y empírica existente sobre el tema, se proponen las principales líneas de investigación que se deben seguir, de modo que sus conclusiones puedan ser aplicadas en el ámbito empresarial para mejorar la gestión de la repatriación. / International firms need an appropriate management of the repatriation process. However, this aspect of an international assignment has been neglected over the years both by the human resource managers and by the research community. Inefficiencies in the repatriation management can imply the loss of high qualified workers and also a lot of other financial losses. After reviewing the theoretical and empirical literature regarding the repatriation process, we propose different lines of research in order to find interesting conclusions and recommendations that can be applied in international organizations to improve their international human resource management.
