Abstract

Tiene una maestría en organización de empresas de la New York's Pace University, una maestría en relaciones internaciones del Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris y una licenciatura en francés, español y alemán de la University of the West Indies (UWI). Es miembro del UK Institute of Directors, administradora fiduciaria de la British Foundation for the University of the West Indies, y miembro activo de la St. Andrew Old Girls' Association. La señora Edwards se desempeñó como Delegada Comercial de JAMPRO en Nueva York, Bruselas y Londres. Cuenta con un profundo conocimiento y una vastísima experiencia en comercialización internacional y desarrollo empresarial. Intervino con éxito en el lanzamiento de productos alimenticios con marcas jamaiquinas en mercados desarrollados y negoció una substancial contribución de fondos de la Unión Europea en el marco del "Target Europe" Trade Development Programme. Comprometida con la promoción de inversiones, la actual presidenta de JAMPRO fue la que dio inicio a las negociaciones con las empresas extranjeras Riu e Iberostar, lo que tuvo como resultado la llegada de inversiones a Jamaica.
