Valuation of Agriculture Competitiveness and Investment Prospects of Agrarian Sector Industries in Kyiv Region Economy

Abstract

Investment activity in agricultural sector is one of the significant factors of agribusinesses efficient development. Besides, as the author suggests, without increasing agricultural industry competitiveness it will be impossible to enhance the investment activity in agrarian sector of the region. In the study practical approval of methodical approaches has been carried-out as to valuation of agricultural production competitiveness and investment attractiveness of agrarian sector industries in Kyiv region. Key factors influencing formation of investment climate in agrarian sector of the region's economy have been determined. The correlation of such concepts as competitiveness and investment appeal of the industry as interrelated factors influencing the efficient investment development of the region has been researched. Through calculating integral rank by the main feature and by the system of limiting criteria based on expert estimates, the ranking of agricultural sector industries in Kiev region have been done according to the level of investment prospects. Using the coordinate matrix method the valuation of agricultural production competitiveness has been performed. Areas with the highest competitiveness indexes of agricultural industry have been defined.
