Abstract

The SMS (Short Message Service) has become a phenomenon which comprises diverse public reactions. Different attitudes contribute creating multiple representations of this phenomenon (the mass-media, teachers, TV shows or specific websites). The SMS becomes a culture formed by very different uses to its numerous and diverse users. We think that the SMS passed over its initial functions, those of communication and socialization, becoming a frame for creativity and artistic innovation.
