Il sistema nazionale di valutazione come strumento di supporto per la qualità

Il presente contributo si propone di illustrare i motivi secondo i quali l'istituzione di un sistema nazionale di valutazione è da considerarsi come uno strumento a supporto della qualità del siste­ma scolastico. Gli autori, alla luce della letteratura internazionale e dei risultati delle indagini com­parative sui livelli delle conoscenze e competenze degli studenti, analizzano e discutono le principa­li strategie messe in campo per migliorare il ser­vizio e l'offerta formativa delle scuole, illustrando quanto queste siano implicate nella costruzione di un sistema nazionale di valutazione.
