Ambiente operativo ed efficienza nel settore del trasporto pubblico locale in Italia

Abstract

Attraverso l?utilizzo di una variante del metodo a due stadi il presente lavoro si prefigge l?obiettivo di valutare l?impatto delle variabili ambientali sull?efficienza di un campione di 100 aziende del trasporto pubblico locale italiano. Il metodo combina l?approccio parametrico e non parametrico regredendo le variabili ambientali sulle misure di inefficienza degli input. Il lavoro pone particolare attenzione alla specificazione del modello non parametrico, all?individuazione degli outliers ed all?esogenit? delle variabili ambientali nel secondo stadio. I risultati confermano la rilevanza delle variabili esterne con particolare riguardo all?ambiente urbano ed alla localizzazione geografica. Il lavoro si conclude con alcune considerazioni di policy.
