L?Anchor Development Organization quale soggetto di governance e di metamanagement della destinazione: un?analisi di benchmarking internazionale dei Convention Bureau

Abstract

Questo articolo si pone l?obiettivo di esaminare in che modo organizzazioni turistiche territoriali che operano su segmenti specifici di mercato possano assumere e svolgere il ruolo di Anchor Development Organization (ADO) nello sviluppo turistico della destinazione. Pertanto, si enfatizzer? il ruolo fondamentale che l?ADO pu? rivestire per la governance della destinazione e per il metamanagement territoriale, oltre che per le politiche di promo-commercializzazione del territorio. In secondo luogo, si presenta un?esemplificazione empirica applicata all?ADO, mostrando come tale ruolo essenziale possa essere svolto efficacemente, nel comparto turistico, dai Convention Bureau. Mediante l?analisi di benchmarking internazionale di casi di specie tratti dall?attivit? di tre Convention Bureau (Parigi, Seattle e Catania), si mostra come sia possibile applicare in modo fruttuoso l?approccio ADO nei contesti turistici nazionale e internazionale.
