Strumenti di pagamento come leva di valorizzazione delle reti: l?esperienza delle fuel cards

Abstract

A circa quattro anni dall?entrata in vigore del decreto legislativo che recepisce la PSD, l?articolo approfondisce le potenzialit? che si sono aperte per le imprese dalla liberalizzazione della possibilit? di creare e gestire sistemi di pagamento privativi. L?analisi si concentra sul settore petrol, dove i principali operatori hanno gi? adeguato la propria struttura organizzativa per cogliere a pieno le potenzialit? del nuovo impianto normativo. Specifiche iniziative pongono in evidenza chiaramente come i sistemi di pagamento alternativi al contante costituiscano una leva di marketing ? rispettivamente verso la catena dei distributori e/o i clienti finali - che contribuisce alla creazione del vantaggio competitivo. La novit? normativa ? significativa in particolare per le imprese che basano la propria strategia competitiva su accordi di cooperazione con imprenditori indipendenti (reti). Il sistema di pagamento privativo ? un investimento che l?impresa leader condivide con gli altri partecipanti. La novit? normativa amplia l?area di risorse potenzialmente condivisibili tra i partecipanti oltre i tradizionali investimenti in segni distintivi e know how, risorse su cui si basa l?identit? comune della rete. Si segnala da ultimo un?esigenza di evoluzione per tutte quelle formule contrattuali con cui viene regolata la partecipazione e i ritorni negli investimenti condivisi entro la rete.
