La conoscenza nei distretti industriali marshalliani e nei clusters tecnologici: percorsi divergenti

    Abstract

    Nel paper viene compiuta una analisi del ruolo che la conoscenza riveste nei Distretti Industriali Marshalliani (DIM) e nei Clusters Tecnologici (CT). L’analisi viene condotta con riferimento alle basi cognitive dei processi decisionali degli agenti che operano nei DIM e nei CT. Il concetto di conoscenza ha una base strettamente cognitivista e si differenzia dal concetto di informazione. Usualmente la conoscenza viene intesa come base della formazione del capitale umano. Tuttavia il concetto di capitale, nel caso delle competenze umane, è un poco sfocato. La riflessione sulla conoscenza in economia politica può partire dall’idea che i DIM e i CT hanno specifiche forme di conoscenza. La differenza fra conoscenza tacita e conoscenza codificata viene discussa con attenzione alle strutture delle reti produttive e sociali dei DIM e dei CT. La conoscenza nei DIM, che sono strutture auto-organizzate, deriva da competenze già esistenti in loco, mentre nei CT ha una origine esogena.
