Gestión De Empresas Turísticas E Inmigración En Canarias Utilizando El Modelo De Rasch

Abstract

Las Islas Canarias constituyen un reconocido destino turístico y también una conocida región migratoria receptora y emisora. Una gran cantidad de los inmigrantes que ha recibido Canarias, bien sean europeos o no, retornados o no, ha terminado trabajando en empresas turísticas. Precisamente la literatura reconoce que la inmigración laboral puede tener influencias positivas y también negativas en la comunidad residente, incluso en las propias empresas turísticas. En este contexto, las actitudes negativas de los residentes trabajadores pueden tener efectos positivos y negativos en el turismo en general y en los resultados de las organizaciones empresariales en particular. El presente trabajo tiene por objeto identificar las actitudes que los jóvenes residentes en Canarias poseen respecto a la inmigración, tanto la general como la laboral, en relación al destino y las empresas turísticas. Utilizando el modelo de Rasch los resultados ponen de manifiesto que los jóvenes poseen percepciones y actitudes que no son negativas pero que debieran tenerse en cuenta por los responsables de las empresas y por los gobernantes.
