Medición De La Estacionalidad: Premisas Para La Determinación De Opciones En La Estacionalización De La Demanda Turística

Abstract

El artículo aborda un tema de interés en la elevación de la eficiencia de las instituciones turísticas, el comportamiento estacional de la demanda y las oportunidades para su manejo. El trabajo que se realiza en una entidad extra hotelera de espectáculos artísticos, (Tropicana) aporta un conjunto de estrategias, cuya implantación contribuye a suavizar el efecto de la estacionalidad e inducen el crecimiento del desempeño económico. En el mismo se argumenta la relación de dependencia de la demanda de Tropicana con los flujos turísticos al destino Cuba y se contrasta los índices de estacionalidad que alcanza la instalación respecto a dicho destino. La determinación de la estacionalidad en el periodo: 2001 – 2010 crea una plataforma para el diseño de opciones estratégicas diferenciadoras en los periodos de Alta y Baja turística y de manera integral tanto del lado de la oferta como de la demanda.
