El Desarrollo Del Ecoturismo En La Reserva Ecológica Siboney-Juticí Del Destino Santiago De Cuba

Abstract

Una de las Áreas Protegidas existentes en Santiago de Cuba, considerada de gran significación nacional y la cual constituye una de las zonas núcleo de la Reserva de Biosfera de Baconao, es la Reserva Ecológica Siboney-Juticí. Los valores paisajísticos, ecológicos, histórico-culturales y de la biota en general, presentes en esta Reserva Ecológica, así como la preservación del área en su conjunto, revisten gran importancia para la conservación y el uso sostenible de sus recursos. Sin embargo, a pesar de poseer la Reserva aparentes atractivos para desarrollar actividades ecoturísticas aún no se han evaluado las potencialidades reales del área para este tipo de turismo. Por lo que el objetivo central de esta investigación es evaluar el potencial ecoturístico de la Reserva Ecológica Siboney–Juticí así como proponer diferentes actividades ecoturísticas a desarrollar en el área, a partir de la elaboración de una metodología para evaluar las potencialidades ecoturísticas en Áreas Protegidas.
