El conflicto, desde la perspectiva de la ciencia regional: el caso de los movimientos populares de Oaxaca, México 1985 y 2006

Abstract

El propósito de este trabajo consiste en demostrar que algunos conflictos que se presentan en las regiones, poseen patrones enmarcados en la negociación; pero que al no ser atendidos adecuadamente, se transforman en sucesos caóticos que distorsionan el orden inicial. Este tipo de estudios debe permitir a los analistas regionales, detectar ex ante los problemas que tienden a afectar a las regiones. El caso analizado es el de los movimientos populares de Oaxaca de 1985 y 2006. El análisis destaca el proceso de “negociación”, como herramienta clave para evitar el conflicto, y así minimizar los daños económicos, sociales, políticos y ambientales que su incumplimiento o la falta de voluntad política para resolver los problemas e incluso analizarlos, conlleva afectando con ello el desarrollo regional.
