Toma De Decisiones En Política Exterior. La Relación Bilateral Uruguay-Estados Unidos En La Administración Vázquez

Abstract

El artículo estudia el proceso de toma de decisiones en la política exterior durante la administración del primer gobierno de izquierda en el Uruguay. El análisis se concentra en una de las instancias de negociación que el gobierno uruguayo mantuvo con los Estados Unidos; la posible firma de un Tratado de Libre Comercio con dicho país. Para ello se presentan los principales actores participes en la toma de decisiones, sus intereses, propuestas y posibles escenarios deseables, acerca de cuál debe ser la inserción internacional que debe apostar el Uruguay para lograr una efectiva posición en la región y en el mundo.
