Abstract

El estudio de este trabajo está enmarcado en las áreas forestales de la Unidad Silvícola Cayo Güin, perteneciente a la EFI Baracoa Guantánamo, con el objetivo de establecer un método de inventario eficiente que brinde las informaciones con bajo costo y alta precisión, las cuales serán las bases para la elaboración del Proyecto de Ordenación y manejo en la EFI Baracoa; se estableció una comparación entre el método de Bitterlich y el Proceso de Estratificación. El número de puntos de muestreo que plantea el Manual de Instrucción de Ordenación de Montes es innecesario, pues el mismo es más de 9 veces mayor y más costoso que si se aplica un muestreo estratificado.
