    Abstract

    Diante de um mercado globalizado e extremamente competitivo, torna-se imprescindível para as empresas a adoção das melhores práticas disponíveis no mercado, como por exemplo, os conceitos do Lean Manufacturing e técnicas como a metodologia da Troca Rápida de Ferramentas (TRF) para a redução do tempo de setup. Ser competitivo não é algo fácil de ser alcançado, pois exige das organizações custos compatíveis com os segmentos de mercado em que atuam, além de aspectos competitivos como qualidade, flexibilidade, prazo de entrega e inovação. Diante deste contexto, este artigo aborda a aplicação da técnica da TRF em uma linha de montagem de placas eletrônicas (LMPE) da empresa Beta Ltda., a qual é considerada um gargalo produtivo. Como resultado foi alcançado uma redução do tempo médio de setup de 88 para 58 minutos, correspondendo a 34,09% e um aumento de disponibilidade do equipamento de 5,54%.
