Medición del Indice de Precios al Consumidor en la provincia de Santiago de Cuba período 2004-2009

Abstract

El presente trabajo ha logrado medir el Índice de Precios al Consumidor (IPC) en la provincia de Santiago de Cuba en el período 2004-2009, valiéndose de la aplicación de la Teoría de los Números Índices a través del Índice de Precios de Laspeyres. La Investigación se justifica porque en la actualidad a escala internacional se manifiesta con bastante regularidad un incremento acelerado en el nivel general de precios de los bienes y servicios que satisfacen necesidades de la población, situación a la que Cuba no escapa y específicamente en la instancia territorial, sin embargo en la provincia de Santiago de Cuba, no existen antecedentes de medición del IPC, pero si la ONE de la Provincia está habida de este resultado y las autoridades gubernamentales requieren de un instrumento que les permita tomar decisiones sobre este particular.
