Abstract

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo general analizar las ideas económico-financieras de Antonio Maceo y su vigencia como herramienta de enfrentamiento y solución de los desafíos del siglo XXI, marcados por los impactos de la globalización neoliberal y los problemas del desarrollo. El trabajo presenta una gran importancia y novedad científica pues aborda una faceta poco conocida del pensamiento de Antonio Maceo y a su vez representa un valioso material teórico que brinda aportes significativos y enriquece el Pensamiento Económico Cubano y Universal. Por otra parte se dan elementos interesantes de Economía Política que pudiesen ser estudiados en función de analizar posibles salidas a las crisis económicas que sufren la inmensa mayoría de los países latinoamericanos o de trabajar en aras de crear un modelo económico alternativo que propicie un desarrollo equitativo, sostenible y sustentable.
