Abstract

Según, los estudios del Banco Mundial, cada cinco días de vida saludable que pierden las mujeres se debe a la victimización del género. En México, una tercera parte de las mujeres mexicanas son victimas de la violencia intrafamiliar. Sufren mayor violencia en su casa infligida por su pareja, que en la calle. Siendo el Estado de Quintana Roo, uno de los que más presenta denuncias de este hecho (INEGI, 2003).
