Regulación de Competencia: sus orígenes e importancia hoy para Venezuela

Abstract

El primer punto controversial fue el cuando el famoso martes 13, y luego de cerrada la emisión, se anunció sorpresivamente la reducción de las tasas de interés iniciales para los primeros cupones de los dos Vebonos. Fue así como la tasa para el Vebono que vence en 2014 de 11.98% bajó a 11,54% (disminución de 0.44%), y para el Vebono que vence en 2015, la tasa quedó en 9,70% en vez de 11,54% (disminución de 1.84%) como se había anunciado al inicio. Estas caídas de cupones trajeron sus correspondientes caídas en los precios de ambos títulos, lo que influyó en un aumento en la tasa implícita de la operación. Esta experiencia es única a nivel mundial y como siempre al final salió perjudicado el comprador.
