Funciones Y Competencias Del Municipio Venezolano Para El Ordenamiento Y Desarrollo Local

Abstract

El municipio venezolano cuenta con una serie de funciones y competencias que le permiten cumplir su razón social, así pues para ello hace uso de la participación ciudadana como medio para desarrollar las comunidades y de este modo contribuir al desarrollo nacional. De igual manera para la obtención de los recursos con los cuales opera, el municipio venezolano por un lado esta dotado de autonomía financiera para captar recursos propios, a través de la recaudación de impuestos y por otro lado están las transferencias gubernamentales que realizan los otros niveles de poder, sin embargo, se puede notar que los municipios venezolanos dependen en su mayoría de estas transferencias y no desarrollan lo concerniente a la captación de recursos propios, lo que evidencia la necesidad de mejorar sus niveles de recaudación y para así contar con más recursos económicos que le permitan cubrir su gasto público e invertir en proyectos de desarrollo local.
