Desarrollo urbano sustentable

Abstract

El presente ensayo monográfico, pretende contribuir al conocimiento y realización del desarrollo urbano sustentable, como alternativa al modelo de desarrollo material y centralista, que impera en la mayoría de ciudades de América Latina. Las vigas maestras del desarrollo urbano sustentable, son el respeto al medio ambiente ecológico, la descentralización, el desarrollo equilibrado y armónico de las ciudades y el campo de los países. Asimismo que las autoridades y ciudadanos, participen en una planificación urbana, concertada e indicativa, para ser posible una vida saludable y de calidad en la ciudad.
