El Octubre Chino

Abstract

El número 60 se considera en China un número “redondo”, que completa un ciclo o cierra un círculo, y como señalaba Hu Jintao en una sesión de estudio del Buró Político del PCCh celebrada a primeros de septiembre, marca un “nuevo comienzo”. El signo de ese nuevo comienzo es doble. De una parte, equivale a profundizar en el proceso de modernización impulsado por las autoridades chinas desde hace tres décadas. De otra, sin dejar ni mucho menos de lado la economía, el epicentro del proceso se traslada paulatinamente al orden político, donde el debate puede arreciar en los próximos años, a la sombra del proceso sucesorio cuyo tramo final se inicia ahora.
