Abstract

África se ha convertido en una pieza clave de la política exterior de la República Popular China. Las relaciones con los estados africanos se han incrementado notablemente. China persigue fundamentalmente tres objetivos: diversificar los suministros de recursos energéticos y de materias primas que son vitales para garantizar la estabilidad de su crecimiento económico, abrir nuevos mercados a la exportación de sus productos y en el plano diplomático, reforzar su papel como actor internacional de primer orden. En general, los dirigentes africanos acogen de buen grado las iniciativas de Beijing, pero ya están apareciendo las primeras críticas en algunos países a la política china en el continente africano.
