Análisis del comportamiento del consumidor: egoísmo, altruismo, cooperación y otras posibles motivaciones sociales

Abstract

Según la teoría del consumidor, cada individuo dedica la renta de la que dispone a la adquisición de todo un conjunto de bienes y servicios, teniendo en cuenta el precio de éstos, buscando maximizar su utilidad, en función de sus preferencias. Sin embargo, el bienestar que alcanza no depende únicamente de sus propias decisiones, sino también de las que tomen los demás, y viceversa, por lo que es necesario analizar esas situaciones de interdependencia, en especial en el caso de los dilemas sociales, para conocer cómo se puede alcanzar el mayor bienestar individual y colectivo. Además, esa búsqueda individual del bienestar parece no mostrarse como la única posibilidad cuando apreciamos la existencia motivaciones sociales hacia la cooperación, el altruismo, la competición, etc. que muestran un abanico más amplio de comportamientos que hay que conocer y comprender.
